Why do I have to wash my hands?
Flu shot kidzone
It's important to keep your hands clean because they can spread germs to your eyes, your nose, your mouth or other parts of your body, and that can make you sick. You don't need special soap; any soap will do!
1
Lather up in warm water
2
Count to 15 (or sing
"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"
)
3
Rinse your hands and wrists
4
Dry with a clean towel
Wash up after you go to the bathroom, touch animals, cough, sneeze, blow your nose or play outside. Wash up before you eat or prepare food (and don't trade bites of food with others). Washing your hands is easy, it takes less than a minute, and it's one of the best ways you can fight germs and stay healthy!
