Medical Director Role
At MinuteClinic, you'll enjoy the support of an entire network of resources, each
serving a distinct and collaborative role in the support of your practice.
Your Medical Director — a board-certified and actively practicing Family Medicine,
Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care physician — typically works off site (unless
otherwise required by state regulations), performing chart reviews and answering
your questions or concerns when needed.
They serve in a collaborative role, not an oversight role as in other practices.
In fact, MinuteClinic only hires physicians for this role that are passionate about
our care model and mission, and who wholeheartedly support and respect your role
in our organization.
As a MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will enter into
a collaborative agreement with the Medical Director for your particular market.
Each Medical Director must live within 60 minutes from the clinic location they
serve. Not only does this enable them to work with you one-on-one when needed, but
it also helps you establish referrals and build a rapport with the community.
