The Hiring Process

At MinuteClinic, we'll help make your hiring experience as seamless as possible. In fact, you'll have our support every step of the way. We'll provide general information when we interview you and then send you detailed information if you receive an offer. Plus, we'll continue to work with you to prepare for your first day with MinuteClinic.

Once you complete the interview process and accept our verbal offer of employment, the road to your first day in the clinic generally looks like this:

  1. Offer packet arrives at your home within three to four days. We'll check with you to make sure you have received it and see if you have any questions.
  2. You'll be asked to follow the simple instructions listed in the packet and forward to us the requested information in the designated timeframes.
  3. Once you have completed this step, you will receive a phone call from your Manager of Operations to confirm your training date and schedule a pre-employment meeting.
  4. Prior to your start date, you will receive a new employee packet that will include benefits enrollment information, payroll forms and other useful company information.
  5. Meet your Manager for your pre-employment meeting.
  6. Complete initial orientation program with the Regional Training Manager.
  7. Begin work in your clinic!

Other important components of the Onboarding process

Credentialing
MinuteClinic requires all of its practitioners to be credentialed to help us maintain our Joint Commission accreditation. Credentialing of our practitioners allows us to remain in-network with most major insurance plans, and therefore makes MinuteClinic more accessible and affordable for our patients.

Collaborative Agreement
As a MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you are required to enter into a collaborative agreement with the Medical Director for your particular market in order to comply with state and federal practice regulations. New Practitioners will review and sign the collaborative agreement during a pre-employment meeting with their managers.

Orientation
MinuteClinic has a thorough orientation program designed to increase the confidence of our new practitioners as they begin their first day working autonomously in our clinics. The program incorporates online courses that can be taken from home, with hands-on in-clinic training and professional support from our Regional Training Managers.
